The Trango group is an attraction for rock climbers worldwide; Trango is a prince for the other towers, offering scenic views from the Baltoro glacier. Most rock climbers in the USA love these towers, and they climb them from Time to Time. It also attracts Polish and Japanese.
Trango Towers, situated on the Baltoro massif of Baltoro Cathedral, surrounded by Lupsand Tower, Uhli Beaho Tower, Muztagh Tower, Biange Tower, and Paiyu Peak,
Great Trango (6287m) was first climbed on July 21, 1977, by the Americans Galen Rowell, John Roskelly, Kim Schmitz, and Dennis Hennek. They had risen through the South Face of the mountain. The East Face of Great Trango, 1600m from its base to the top, is among the most significant rock walls in the world. Its first ascent was made by the Norwegians Hans Christian Doseth and Finn Daehli in 1984, but tragically, the two climbers fell to their deaths when abseiling.
The so-called Nameless Tower is the most spectacular of the Trango towers (6251m). It was first climbed via the South-West Face by Bo Anthoine and Martin Boysen from Great Britain. The next day, Joe Brown and Malcolm Howells reached the top of Nameless Tower. In 1989, Kurt Albert and Wolfgang Gllich wrote Alpine history when they free-climbed a route they called Eternal Flame (with pitches graded 7c) and thus established free-climbing in the world’s high mountains.

01: Arrival Islamabad

Arrival at the airport and then transfer to the hotel. Overnight stay in Islamabad.

02: Islamabad to Skardu (By Air)

Early morning flight to Skardu (flights are subject to weather); if unable to fly, we will depart for Skardu by road with an overnight stay at Chilas. Overnight stay in a hotel at Skardu.

03: Chilas to Skardu

In case the flight has operated, we will go for sightseeing tour of Skardu and in case of no flight, the day will be used for over land travel from Chilas to Skardu (total drive is 22 – 24 hrs from Islamabad to Skardu). Overnight stay in a hotel at Skardu.

04: Rest day at Skardu

The day is to finalize the expedition arrangements. Overnight stay in a hotel at Skardu.

05: Skardu toAskole

After breakfast, we will embark jeeps for a whole day ride on a winding jeep trail to Askole – The last inhabitance on our way to the Great Glaciers. (Tent)

06: Askole to Jhula

Today, we will leave the last inhabited village of Askole. For the remaining portion of our journey, we will rely on our local team to carry our food and equipment and sustain our expedition. Trek to the Dumurdo river cross at Jula (Jula means wire Rope-Bridge supported by a wooden basket); now, a day wooden bridge has been built to cross it (Tent)

07: Jhula to Paiju

We will resume trek along the Braldu River to a green oasis under the shadows of Paiju Peak 6611 M. (Tent)

08: Rest Day at Paiju

Rest & acclimatization day at Paiju. (Tent

Please Note: Gilgit Baltistan flights are subject to weather and backlog, in case of flight cancellation we will travel by road, and one night of Islamabad will be adjusted in overland travel.
